The Plan Your Own Party Kit is a kit that gives advice on throwing parties. It appears in the episode "Party Pooper Pants."

Inside the kit contains a list of Bikini Bottomites to invite to the party, an instruction manual, and some party supplies like balloons, noise makers, etc.
Barg'N-Mart sells these kits in a party-themed box which is turquoise on the front side and yellow on the middle, both of which depict balloons and streamers. The boxes they are sold in also contain a white "sale tag" on the front and a red clam shell with streamers on the back as well as yellow, blue, and green balloons on said shell.

SpongeBob is planning a special house party for the night and needs the best advice on how to host it. He stops by Barg'N-Mart to buy a Plan Your Own Party Kit, which the storekeeper, Incidental 39, offers for free to SpongeBob if he promises to leave the store immediately.
SpongeBob is at his house, planning the party by taking the advice the kit offers him. SpongeBob expects the party to be a blast. Unfortunately, because of one specific rule stating unsupervised parties are dangerous, he misinterprets the rule and devises a schedule, ordering everyone at the party to do exactly as it says, such as reading topic cards and sitting down as he reads from newspaper comics. It later backfires on him, as the guests do not follow the routine of activities in order.
The kit's ignorance of the police lands SpongeBob in jail on the same night; Incidental 118 and Incidental 118B notice SpongeBob wielding a pick ax at his door and accuse him of attempted burglary, however it is at that moment revealed that SpongeBob was trying to get back into his own house. When the police find out that SpongeBob is throwing a party, they criticize him for not inviting them, and subsequently put him under arrest.
