SpongeBob's Dream is the ninth main level and 11th level overall in the console versions of Battle for Bikini Bottom and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated. This level does not require any Golden Spatulas to enter, but the player must have defeated Robo-Patrick. SpongeBob can enter the area by going to a certain spot at the center of the Bottom Feeder Lane area and falling asleep; uniquely, this has a cutscene that plays, where SpongeBob falls asleep, facilitating his entrance into the dream.
After SpongeBob falls asleep in Bikini Bottom, he finds himself on a series of floating islands, with his house placed on the starting island. These islands are surrounded by the "dream bubbles" of other characters: Sandy (where she is playable), Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick. Gary tells him that there are Golden Spatulas to be found, so after trying on a mustache, SpongeBob presses on through each dream bubble.
Rehydrated Changes[]
- The background has changed to a two-tone pink and blue sky with clouds.
- The floating SpongeBob was smiling in the original; in the remake, he has his tongue sticking out.
- There are some pictures of popular memes in Squidward's dream, such as the Handsome Squidward meme.
- The Duplicatotrons in Mr. Krabs' dream are protected by bubbles, so SpongeBob cannot use his Cruise Bubble weapon to cheese the level.
- The stacks of money in Mr. Krabs' dream are the Wacky Bucks from "One Coarse Meal," and the pennies everywhere are from "Imitation Krabs" and "I Had an Accident."
- In Sandy's dream, there is less drifting when sliding.
- The bee sound effect in Sandy's dream is different and quieter.

Across the Dreamscape[]
- Get to the end of the hub area in SpongeBob's Dream.
Follow the Bouncing Ball[]
- Bubble Bowl the paddlewheel in the hub area and a ball will drop. Follow it and when it is under the golden spatula, jump on top of the ball and grab the spatula.
Slidin' Texas Style[]
- Get to the acorn after sliding through the big slide in Sandy's dream.
Swingers Ahoy[]
- Make the series of swings and defeat all the robots on the island in Sandy's Dream.
Music is in the Ear of the Beholder[]
- Reach the top of Squidward's nose in Squidward's dream.
Krabby Patty Platforms[]
- Destroy the robots to make the Krabby Patty platforms move, and climb to the top and destroy 3 Duplicatotrons and destroy any remaining robots for a Golden Spatula. One of Patrick's socks is on top of a floating tiki on the left side on the end of the grill.
Super Bounce[]
- Jump on all the springboards connecting Sandy's Dream and Squidward's Dream and after the last one land on top of Squidward's house to get the spatula.
Here You Go[]
- Simply talk to Patrick in his dream and he will reward the player with a Golden Spatula for completing his "challenge."
Trivia[]
- Patrick's dream was not originally planned to be an empty void. Instead, it would have been a level filled with sweets and candy.[1]
- This design was reused as one of the islands in the multiplayer Horde Mode in Rehydrated and an untextured variation of it exists in the game file.
- Patrick's dream is also different from what it looks like in the episode "Sleepy Time."
